Nephew of Giants Owner John Mara Nearly Beat Man to Death on New Year's Eve

Mara reportedly bashed the victim over the head with a bottle so badly that doctors were forced to operate. The victim apparently “would have been dead” had he not sought medical attention. My god, was he wielding a 40 oz. of Old English? Sounds like your every day, run of the mill Oz cafeteria brawl.
Mara turned himself in to Fairfield police on Friday and has been charged with first-degree assault and breach of peace. He has since been released on $150,000 bond. [via NY Post]
