Mississippi State Five-Star Apologized For Punching Woman On Video

Jeffery Simmons, a five-star 2016 defensive end who signed with Mississippi State, issued an apology after a videotape emerged of him punching a woman on the ground Thursday evening.
Simmons wrote in a Facebook post the woman had disparaged his deceased nephew.
Simmons was the nation’s No. 19 overall recruit in 2016. He chose Mississippi State over Ole Miss and Alabama.
