Miguel Sano Hit One of the Longest (Highest) Doubles You'll Ever See
By Mike Cardillo

Miguel Sano crushed, no, CRUSHED a ball off the catwalk at Tropicana Field tonight. Due to the stadium’s odd groundrules what would have been a long home run in 29 other stadiums ended up as an RBI double, since it bounced back into play. The the look on manager Paul Molitor’s face in the dugout afterward about says it all.
Miguel Sano's 3rd-inning double was calculated at 425 feet and would have been a HR at all 30 MLB ballparks had it not hit the catwalk

Sano’s incredible second half is historic for a rookie and a big reason the Twins have vaulted back into Wild Card position.
Miguel Sano would be the 25th rookie with an OPS+ over 160 in at least 150 PAs http://t.co/T6eX7XWXX0 pic.twitter.com/Uq9c1aaHun

It’s not often you can say a baseball is hit too high, but that’s what happens inside a dome.
