Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, the Charlotte Bobcats’ rookie, took an inadvertent knee-to-the-head from teammate Jeffrey Taylor Saturday night, and appeared seriously injured. The stretcher came out. Paramedics mobilized his neck. The good news is, the former Kentucky star was moving his extremities before going to the hospital. Very early this morning, Marc Spears of Yahoo tweeted that MKG has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Kidd-Gilchrist, the No. 2 pick in the 2012 draft, is having a solid rookie season. He’s missed just one game, is shooting 47 percent from the field, and just like his brief stay at Kentucky, he does a little bit of everything (9.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.6 apg).

Houston won the game, 109-96, and James Harden had a triple double (21 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists).
