Martavis Bryant is facing a 4-game suspension for violation of the league’s substance abuse policy, per Adam Schefter. Note that this is under the substance abuse provisions, not performance-enhancing drugs, which would involve a suspension earlier. Under the substance abuse provisions, a player does not get to a 4-game suspension until his first positive test or offense after being moved to what is called to Stage II of the program (and the player must have had a prior positive test or offense to get moved there).

According to Schefter, Bryant is appealing. The second-year wide receiver had 8 touchdowns last year in the seasons final 10 games, and is widely considered one of the best breakout candidates for this year. Keep in mind the potential for 4 missed games when entering your draft, if you are doing so this weekend.
