Kevin Durant Sprained His Ankle, Could Be Out For Days or Longer

Kevin Durant sprained his ankle in the Thunder’s 114-109 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. After missing the entire month of November with a fractured bone in his foot, Durant has returned to help the Thunder go 7-1 to start December and climb back into the playoff picture. (They’re a game and a half out of the 8-seed after the loss to the Warriors.)

Of course, the real shame of it is the fact that the ankle sprain robbed Durant and the fans of what had potential to be “one of those nights.” At the time he went down, Durant had scored 30 points on 10-13 shooting in 19 minutes. He was 5-of-6 from three. I’m glad they changed the definition of literally because Kevin Durant was literally on fire last night.
