Karim Benzema Questioned by Authorities Over Mathieu Valbuena Sex Tape Extortion Investigation

Karim Benzema, star striker for Real Madrid and the French national team, is meeting with authorities in Versailles this morning. The underlying purpose? an investigation into a potential sex tape extortion attempt of French national teammate Mathieu Valbuena.

There are conflicting reports over whether it is an arrest or whether he voluntarily met with them. Several reporters are now claiming it was a voluntary meeting with authorities after a subpoena, after initial tabloid reports that he was arrested. Regardless, this is an interesting look for the French football team members. Last month, another French international and former Liverpool player, Djibril Cisse, was also questioned and released in regard to Valbuena’s sex tape extortion attempt.
