K.J. McDaniels Is a Freak on the Rockets Bench

K.J. McDaniels’ talents are no longer being wasted on the Philadelphia 76ers’ perpetual rebuild. Instead, those are currently being wasted on the bench of the Houston Rockets. (In as much as a physically gifted, but unpolished rookie can be wasted on the bench of a team tied for the 3rd-best record in the NBA in April.)

Anyway, with the Spurs were beating the Rockets like they were the Sixers on Wednesday, so McDaniels got to play in the 4th quarter. That’s when this happened. Two impressive blocked shots on two separate fast breaks over the span of about 13-seconds. The distance he both makes up and covers on that second block is awesome. That’s the only word for K.J. McDaniels. He may not be a great player, but he’s awesome.
