Josh Childress is currently playing for the Sydney Kings in Australia’s National Basketball League. Up until today, it sounded like he was really enjoying himself. Then he ran into Perth Wildcats’ power forward Jesse Wagstaff.

Wagstaff set a pick down low and Childress ran right into him. From this view, it doesn’t look like a dirty play. Maybe Wagstaff leaned into it a little, but it certainly wasn’t worthy of the reaction that Childress had. The 6th pick in the 2004 NBA Draft retaliated with a running, jumping, flying elbow to the head and neck area of Wagstaff. The most interesting part is how the Australian announcers seem more amused than horrified by the incident. In the NBA, Childress would be looking at a lengthy suspension. In Australia, who knows?
