Jose Manuel Velazquez just had the goal of his life for Venezuela as La Vinotinto took a shocking 1-0 lead on Mexico during Monday’s matchup. Velazquez volleyed the ball out of the air in the 10th minute of Venezuela’s final group stage match at the Copa America Centenario.

The play developed off a set piece, where Alejandro Guerra floated a ball into the box. It was headed back towards Velazquez and he pounded it past Mexico keeper Jose Corona with a brilliant right-footed volley.

" Que golazo! Jose Manuel Velazquez puts La Vinotinto in front against #ElTri. #MEXvVEN #MyCopaColors https://t.co/JgaaentkhW — FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) June 14, 2016 "

That was an amazing finish, maybe the best of the tournament so far.

If Venezuela beats Mexico they would win Group C in a massive upset. La Vinotinto entered the tournament ranked No. 77 in the world, and has so far beaten Jamaica (No. 46) and Uruguay (No. 9). Now the tournament’s Cinderella has a 1-0 lead on Mexico (No. 16).
