Jordan Spieth picked up right where he left off at the Masters. After a first round six-under 66, the defending champion is once again in the lead after his first round. It’s the fifth consecutive round that Spieth has held the lead, granted, Jason Day is closing (currently -5 through nine), but Spieth played spectacular in some pretty windy conditions.

The 22-year-old, who surrendered the number one ranking to Jason Day after the WGC-Dell Match Play, went bogey free. For some perspective, that is the first time a defending champion has gone bogey free in the opening round since Jose Maria Olazabal in 1995.
