Jordan Spieth missed the cut in his last two tournaments, The Barclays a Deutsche Bank Championship, but he won’t have to worry about that this week at the BMW Championship. The field of the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings will be playing all four rounds. During his media interview, Spieth said he’s glad he doesn’t have to worry about checking out of his hotel early.

"“I’m happy to be checking into my hotel, and when they ask what day I’m checking out, I can say, ‘I’m checking out on Sunday,'” Spieth said Tuesday. “It’s nice.”"

In missing those two cuts, Spieth lost the number one ranking in the standings to Jason Day, but he still has just as good a chance to win as the rest of the top 5. Should any of them claim a victory this week and or at the TOUR Championship, they’ll likely take home the FedExCup Trophy and the $10 million dollar prize that goes with it.

"“It doesn’t (matter who wins this week), but at the same time it’s not like we’re playing for nothing,” Spieth said. “We still care about money, too. I mean, we like that part of it.”"

Obviously that $10 million dollar prize is something to strive for. Spieth has already won over $10 million dollars this season on Tour, putting him in very elite company.
