The NBA announced that 10-time Grammy Award winner John Legend will perform the All-Star halftime Show after asking fans to guess who would get the gig. We liked some of the crowd-sourced guesses better.

Legend is certainly qualified for the job. He performed at Game 1 of the NBA Finals and also at the 2013 NBA All-Star game. Still, some of the options below are a bit more exciting.

Here are our favorite picks that did not make the cut for the 2017 NBA All-Star Game.

Your Mother (The Offensive Option)

Smash Mouth (The Throwback Option)

Nickelback (The Troll Option)

Joel Embiid (The Current Player Option)

Kobe Bryant (The People’s Choice)

Duke Silver from Parks and Rec  (The Fictional Option)

Shia LeBeouf (A Surprisingly Good Rapper)

2pac Shakur (The Hologram Option)

Rick Astley (The “Rick Roll” Option)

Based on the clues, our managing editor predicted Kaja Googoo.  Way off.

Meanwhile, proper congratulations are in order for Alex Del Priore. He correctly predicted John Legend. Where’s his prize?
