Joey Bosa and the San Diego Chargers can finally stop sniping at each other. The Ohio State product and the Bolts have finally come to terms after a ridiculously long contract battle that lasted far longer than it should have. Both sides finally appear ready to put aside their differences and make nice.

Bosa’s deal is for four years and $25.8 million with a $17 million signing bonus. The fully guaranteed deal will ensure the 21-year-old is with the team as the season kicks off, despite missing all of training camp and most of the San Diego’s offseason program.

This whole mess has been yet another example of San Diego’s front office bungling a sure thing and making a mess out of an uncomplicated situation. The Bolts selected Bosa with the third pick in the 2016 NFL Draft knowing they needed him to be on the field and making an impact early. But they took their sweet time coming to terms with him, and by the time training camp rolled around there was a ton of bad blood between the two sides.

This should have been done months ago and all Chargers fans can hope for now is that Bosa acclimates quickly.
