Jimmer Fredette scored 43-points, including the game-tying and game-winning free throws with no time left on the clock, to help the Shanghai Sharks win the Merlion Cup in Singapore. Jimmer was fouled shooting a 3-pointer as time expired and made all three free throws, just like he used to practice with his brother.

You can watch all the contested 3’s, runners in traffic and uncontested layups below. From personal experience, I can tell you that watching might make your heart grow three sizes and renew your zest for life.

Jimmer has averaged 34.7 points through his first 4 games with Shanghai. I just hope he’s enjoying himself as much as I am when I read recaps like this English-language write-up from the Straits Times:

"American import Jimmer Fredette stood on the free-throw line, as the atmosphere in the OCBC Arena built to a frenzied level with close to 3,000 fans screaming and cheering. The former National Basketball Association (NBA) player, who had joined the Chinese team just last month, had three free throws – and his team’s destiny – in his hands. It went in perfectly down the hoop. Not once, not twice but thrice as it finished 78-77 to the Sharks."

Bring on the Chinese Basketball Association.
