While coaches and media are spending the offseason fretting about satellite camps (and talking about Jim Harbaugh), Michigan’s coach is already deploying his enthusiasm unknown to mankind on other projects. One? Dominating a particular New Jersey High School.

Paramus Catholic produced Michigan star Jabrill Peppers and Michigan signee Rashan Gary, the No. 1 overall recruit in 2016. Harbaugh is doing pretty much everything he can within the rules to claim Paramus for the Maize and Blue.

Michigan is holding a satellite camp at Paramus. Michigan hired now linebackers coach Chris Partridge from Paramus. Jim Harbaugh will be the guest speaker at Paramus’ graduation in June.

Now, Paramus Catholic will be playing a game on Sept. 2 at Michigan Stadium, the day before Michigan’s home opener. Paramus will play St. Frances Academy from Maryland, where Harbaugh also participated in a satellite camp.

Harbaugh’s courting of Paramus Catholic has raised the attention of a Rutgers secret society the “Order of Bulls Blood.” The society was so secret it had to send an email to reporters to get attention.

The Wolverines lead in the recruitment of Paramus Catholic’s Drew Singleton, the top 2017 player in New Jersey and the nation’s No. 61 overall recruit.

Harbaugh’s actions should assuage concerns Nick Saban had about the high school coaches still mattering.
