James Develin, a fullback on the Patriots, tried to go over the top against Houston. But he was denied. Develin, who was a defense end at Brown University, landed on his feet and tried again, slipping one tackle, but running into two defenders. But his legs kept moving, the tacklers fell  off him, and he ended up spinning loose and bouncing off another defender for a touchdown.

The Patriots, who trailed 17-7 at the half,  grabbed a 21-17 lead in the third quarter, but Houston just drove the length of the field to take a 24-21 lead.
