J.J. Watt and Zach Mettenberger Both Acting Very High School-ish

It’s the NFL offseason, but the most exciting story lines don’t take time off. Like the feud between J.J. Watt and Zach Mettenberger. This spat started in October when Mettenberger took a selfie before his first start. That upset J.J. Watt who then did a selfie sack dance during the game to show how mature he was. He then told a reporter that “It’s just kind of a reminder, this is the National Football League, not high school.” Back then, Jason Lisk pointed out that Watt and his teammates wore varsity jackets. Mettenberger also noticed this and brought it up in a recent interview. Via the Houston Chronicle:

"“J.J. had to say it’s a bit high school-ish that I take selfies and I think he still rags me on Instagram every time he posts a selfie,” Mettenberger said in the one-on-one session. “At the same time, if that’s high school-ish, he got a letterman jacket made, a Texans letterman jacket. That’s pretty high school-ish to me, don’t you think?”"

Word of Mettenberger’s quotes then made their way back to Watt who tweeted this:

Lions do, however, concern themselves with selfies taken by sheep before football games.
