David Vasta, a rugby player for Amatori Catania, in Italy’s Serie B (third division), took a drug test. He failed miserably.

Vasta tested positive for 11 banned substances, which Gazetta claims is a new rugby record.

"testosterone, boldenone metabolite, drostanolone, mesterolonum, Methandienone, metasterone, metildienolone, Stenbolone metabolite, clomiphene metabolite, 19-Norethiocholanolone, 19-norandrosterone"

That list constitutes a substantial portion of the anabolic steroids banned by WADA. Vasta said he took the substances more than a year ago, while he had stopped playing rugby. He didn’t think they would have stayed in his body this long.

Even 1998 MLB thinks Vasta should have toned it down a bit.
