It Looks Like Russell Westbrook is Staying in OKC (for Now)
By Tully Corcoran

Russell Westbrook is involved in “serious negotiations” to sign a contract that would keep the five-time NBA All-Star in Oklahoma City through 2018, according to The Vertical.
Terms of the deal are expected to be in the range of three years, $85 million.
"The proposed deal would include a player option on the third year, which would clear the way for Westbrook to return to free agency in 2018."
Westbrook is currently scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next year, so this deal buys the Thunder at least one extra year with the 27-year-old Westbrook, who averaged 25 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds this season.
And with Kevin Durant and more or less everybody else gone, there is nothing standing between Russell Westbrook and his wildest statistical dreams.
