Hunter Strickland Got Mad at Salvador Perez, For Some Reason

Hunter Strickland coughed up a two-run homer to Omar Infante which put the Royals ahead 7-2 in sixth inning of Game 2 of the World Series. Amazingly it’s the fifth home run the rookie reliever has allowed this postseason. Strickland wasn’t too happy and decided to start yelling … at someone. Salvador Perez crossed the plate and looked toward Strickland, which seemed to piss the rookie off even more prompting both dugouts to empty, albeit in earnest.

The whole incident was confusing — even Buster Posey had a WTF expression — but cooler heads prevailed.

The moral of the story here? Maybe don’t give up five home runs in less than a month if you’re a relief pitcher.

Earlier this month Strickland and Bryce Harper traded some words following a home run in San Francisco.
