Hulk Hogan Awarded $115 Million In Gawker Lawsuit

Hulk Hogan has won his lawsuit against Gawker media. The jury awarded him $115 million in damages.

The award is more than twice the $55 million Erin Andrews was awarded. The $115 million awarded may not be the end of it. The jury will reconvene on Monday to assess punitive damages.

Presumably, Gawker will appeal to get the penalty reduced or a reach a lesser settlement. Though the ruling will have ramifications from here forward for Gawker itself and may set a precedent for media moving forward.
