Hassan Whiteside has been a pleasant surprise for the Miami Heat this season. After bouncing around teams and leagues around the world, the 25-year old center is averaging 11 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks for the Heat. During Monday’s game against the Celtics, he briefly lost his mind, taking a cheapshot at Boston’s Kelly Olynyk, hitting him from behind under the basket. Whiteside was assessed a flagrant-2 and headed to the locker room to await his fine and possible suspension. This comes about a week after Whiteside got into it with Phoenix’s Alex Len.
