Harvey Levin appeared on Mike Francesa’s New York radio show Thursday afternoon to talk about TMZ’s role in breaking the Ray Rice story earlier this week. Levin didn’t provide a lot of specific details, but did say he thought the NFL is “out of control.”

"“The NFL, right now, I think they’re out of control. We have gotten multiple conflicting statements from various people we’ve been talking with inside there, where it sounds like they don’t know what’s what. “Part of this just may be their spinning, and trying to figure out exactly where to go and what’s going on. But we have gotten multiple conflicting reports now in terms of various things that are going on. And all I will say is today has been interesting.”"

Wednesday the AP reported that an NFL excecutive had indeed received footage from inside the elevator of Rice punching out his then fiancee Janay Palmer, which TMZ had posted early Monday morning. Levin did say TMZ might release the name of the executive but didn’t give a timetable on it.

Francesa asked Levin if he believes the higher-ups at the NFL had seen the video, but Levin declined to answer.

CBS radio has the full audio of the interview.
