Will this apology be enough? Some people are calling for Williams Jr.’s job to be taken away. Of course, that leaves us with an interesting question: What would happen to the opening of Monday Night Football? Will another irrelevant country musician step up? What will ESPN do?

When I was a kid, the Monday Night Football song was always a highlight of my week. That song is the NFL and I love the NFL. We should be happy to have that song remain a part of the broadcast. Do you think CBS would do something like this to The Big Bang Theory if one of the Barenaked Ladies said something about the President? I think not.
