John Peterson wasn’t and won’t be fined by the PGA for his Happy Gilmore drive during the CIMB Classic in Malaysia. Many expected that the rigid PGA would issue a fine for Peterson’s antics, but Peterson says he spoke to the PGA Tour’s executive vice president, Andy Pazder, and explained, “I was just trying to get 20 more yards.”

Peterson also told Golf Channel that he attempted the swing once during a junior event, but his mom pulled him off the course afterwards.

The former LSU golfer went on to shoot 66 in his final round at the CIMB, but still finished dead last.

"“I played so good, shot 66. Maybe I need to do it more often,” he said."

Do it here on American soil where the fans will appreciate it, John.
