Giancarlo Stanton's 475-Foot Home Run is Legitimately Scary

Perhaps the most impressive thing about Giancarlo Stanton’s 475-foot home run on Friday night is that he’s hit five bombs a greater distance in his career. StatCast reveals this liner left his bat at 112 mph. The thing was barely losing any steam by the time it made contact beyond the left-center fence.
Stanton has blasted 31 homers of 450-plus feet since 2010. Justin Upton is second on the list with 16.
The takeaway here: Never take a bathroom break while he’s in the batter’s box.
