Florida Used a Trick Play to Steal Home Against Florida State

Florida pulled off a great steal of home against Florida State last Tuesday. With men on first and third and 2 outs, the runners both broke to steal. The runner on first base took a dive after a few steps while the batter appeared to be attempting to bunt. This drew the pitcher’s attention away from the runner on third just long enough to allow him to safely slide in under a throw to home after the pitcher realized he’d been duped. It also allowed the runner on first to advance to second. It’s a pretty smooth play. The Gators went on to win 14-8.
