Enner Valencia's First Goal for West Ham was a Little Bit Special

Enner Valencia made a name for himself this summer thanks to a strong performance at the World Cup with Ecuador. Although Ecuador didn’t get out of its group, Valencia did enough to impress West Ham manager Sam Allardyce to make a $20 million transfer for him.

Valencia showed why with this special goal vs. Hull City on Monday, cutting to the right and ripping a shot — almost like a basketball player head-faking and stepping sideways for a jumpshot.

West Ham vs. Hull City didn’t seem like a very appealing game for the standalone Monday spotlight, but it’s been fairly entertaining. Hull City’s record signing Abel Hernandez earlier scored his first Premier League goal. The game is now 2-2 at the time of this post.

As the cliche goes, it’s been a “perfect advertisement for the Barclay’s Premier League.”
