Club Libertad and River Plate met in the Copa Sudamericana Round of 16 Wednesday night. In the first half Libertad player Antonio Barreiro swung a wild elbow into the face of Ariel Rojas, which left the River Plate player bloodied. Barreiro tried his best to feign innocence but appeared to be sent off regardless. Bill Laimbeer would be proud.
