Dorial Green-Beckham: Oklahoma's Waiver Request Denied by NCAA

Dorial Green-Beckham will not be immediately eligible for the Oklahoma Sooners. The program had been trying to argue that the former Missouri receiver should be able to play right away under the “run off” provision. Green-Beckham was dismissed from the Mizzou program after he was accused (but not ultimately charged) for allegedly pushing a woman down a flight of stairs.

As our site’s Jason Lisk wrote earlier today, given the tough stance Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione and head coach Bob Stoops took in suspending running back Joe Mixon, the desire for Green-Beckham to be immediately eligible was supremely hypocritical.
