Denzel Valentine is having himself a heck of a senior season. The 6’5″ guard is averaging career highs of 19.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.6 assists through the first 7 games of the season. At the end of Michigan State’s 77-64 win over Providence on Sunday, Valentine started to dribble upcourt as time expired. Friars’ guard Kyron Cartwright reached for the ball as Valentine ran by. Valentine didn’t appear to like that as you can see he turns and throws the ball at Cartwright before continuing to the bench.

It will be interesting to see if Tom Izzo and MSU address this with undefeated – and unranked – Louisville coming to East Lansing on Wednesday. Valentine was yelled at by a coach and expressed annoyance with the extra contact – and the fact that people noticed – despite the fact that he was the one skipping up the court with the ball.
