David Duval and Brandel Chamblee Got Heated Discussing Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson in the Ryder Cup

Brandel Chamblee and David Duval got a little heated while discussing leadership within the Ryder Cup team. The clip is 10 minutes long, but once the two minute mark rolls around things start getting good.

Chamblee, who enjoys ripping Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, begins criticizing their Ryder Cup careers. Duval was a playing partner of Tiger’s, who has had difficulty finding the right chemistry with his partners over his Ryder Cup career, during the 1999 Ryder Cup.

Chamblee: “Do you think that actually having to be out there to do it, determines whether or not you can pass judgment on it?”

Duval: “I didn’t say that.”

Chamblee: “I wasn’t at the Boston Tea Party, but I can tell you all about it.”

Duval: “OK, well, I know you’re never wrong. I understand that.”

Meanwhile, Frank Nobilo sat there quietly for the first 4:30 and let the two go back and forth before jumping in and seemingly siding with Duval.

European team member Lee Westwood said that because of the issues Tiger caused within the teams he was playing on, that he could be a problem in the locker room this year.

I believe that to be untrue. Woods has embraced his role, even if he attempted to be one of the boys and get in on the players only picture.
