Darren Sanders, the Baltimore Ravens’ head of security, was charged with committing a fourth-degree sex offense on Tuesday, according to Justin Fenton of the Baltimore Sun. There aren’t a whole lot of details publicly available yet, and it probably won’t surprise you that the organization says it is “investigating thoroughly.” Sanders’ lawyer issued an aggressive response:

"Reached late Tuesday, Sanders’ attorney, Andrew Alperstein, said the claims were “totally fabricated, made up.” “It does a disservice to real victims when people make things up like this,” Alperstein said. “People like [Sanders] are susceptible to made-up allegations. It puts you in a vulnerable position.”"

Sanders, as you may recall and would presume from his job title, played a key role in the franchise’s controversial Ray Rice investigation. His court date is set for February 9th.
