The paper was having a photo shoot with the top talent in the area.
Seth Soffian of the News-Press detailed the day. The players were present to take photos in conjunction with their News-Press and Naples Daily News Southwest Florida Sports Awards. According to Soffian, offensive coordinator and quarteback coach Shawn Watson, linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator Rob Harley and receivers coach Kevin Sherman were all present.
According to one compliance director, that is a no-no.
Darren, this is actually a recruiting violation for Pitt coaches to have contacts with these recruits in the presence of Media. There’s a reason other Universities don’t do this. pic.twitter.com/Dl9WCmvL2J
