Cyrus Jones: Alabama DB Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges [UPDATE - Charges Dropped]

Alabama Crimson Tide DB Cyrus Jones was arrested after a domestic disturbance in Tuscaloosa. He faces two misdemeanor domestic violence charges for harassment and criminal mischief.

Per the police report, Jones took and damaged a woman’s cell phone. He also threatened to assault her.
Jones started for Alabama at corner last year as a junior, intercepting three passes and being named second team All-SEC. He is the fourth Alabama player to be arrested this offseason.
UPDATE: Tuscaloosa Police have dropped all charges against Jones, determining he was in fact trying to deescalate the situation.
