Linfield College is the most notable DII football program in America. They’re going for their 60th consecutive winning season and they constantly provide us with blog fodder. Whether its a squirrel terrorizing their coaches’ offices, great blocking on a punt return, one of their players ending up on the wrong end of a cup-check, or a really dirty hit.

This year’s edition of Linfield College pointing out the poor behavior of others comes from their season-opening win over Chapman University. Chapman punter William James flopped on a punt. If he was touched at all, it was very light contact, but he still went to the ground and writhed around in pain as if he had suffered a very bad knee injury. An official bought the act and threw a flag. As soon as James saw the flag, he jumped up, fist-pumped and sprinted to the sideline to celebrate. The referee then picked up the flag.
