Vin Scully has been calling Dodgers games since before the sport of baseball was even invented so he’s seen just about everyone and everything. That includes Sandy Koufax, who pitched for the Dodgers from 1955 in Brooklyn to 1966 in Los Angeles.

On Thursday night, Clayton Kershaw struck out 13 New York Mets in what could best be described as a Sandy Koufax-like performance. Or, you could just straight up call Kershaw Sandy Koufax like Scully did after his 11th K of the night. Intentional or not, it makes sense.
