Charlie Strong On Miami Job: "It's All a Rumor"

Charlie Strong held a seven-minute press conference. Instead of issuing a vigorous denial of rumors placing him at Miami. He said, more or less, what he has said before. The rumors exist. Charlie Strong is the coach at Texas.
Strong on Miami rumors: "It's all a rumor. We're here to build a program. That's why I came here."

This was a tactful coach denial. Assert facts. Stick to the present tense. It sounds like a denial. It can be a denial for recruiting purposes. It does not leave a Nick Saban sound bite that could be troublesome when/if circumstances change in a month, hypothetically.
If you thought Strong could end up at Miami after terming Texas “the best job in America,” this won’t alter your opinion.
