CBC's Stanley Cup Playoffs Outro Montage, Set to Queen, Is Predictably Fantastic

Last night’s CBC Hockey Night in Canada outro montage was set to “The Show Must Go On” by Queen. As we’ve come to expect from these things, it was top-notch.

“The closing song is a difficult one to choose because you want something with a mood to it, with twist and turns,” CBC producer Tim Thompson told SI’s Richard Deitsch at the conclusion of last year’s playoffs. “It can’t be totally happy and joyful. There are wonderful highs and crushing lows [in the playoffs] and if you put a stirring piece of music under the right images, the result can be chilling and moving.”

Also awesome was Doc Emrick’s narration of the Kings receiving the Cup:
