Steve Young called the second game of the ESPN’s Monday Night Football double-header alongside Chris Berman last night. After the Rams took a delay of game penalty (one of their 10 penalties on Monday) Young explained that “you do need to snap the ball on time.” The insight didn’t stop there as Young relayed what must have been a very awkward conversation he had with Keenum at some point.

Keenum told Young he wanted to be considered a “field general” at some point before he went out and completed 17 of 35 passes, threw two interceptions and helped his team score 100% of their zero points. Yong also added that Keenum didn’t want to be considered a “game manager” because there is a negative connotation to that term.

UPDATE: The original post confused Steve Young with Trent Dilfer. The post has been edited.
