" How. Do. You. Miss. That?! #GoldCup2015 http://t.co/DB2CNA7c8E — FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) July 9, 2015 "

Cyle Larin, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 MLS Draft, experienced a moment he’d just as soon forget during Canada’s 2015 Gold Cup opener vs. El Salvador Wednesay night. The Orlando City forward rounded the keeper and targeted the open net … only the shot sailed high and wide into the stands.

Said Larin of the miss afterward, via MLSSoccer.com:

"“It happens. It happens to every striker, and just have to go on to the next game and make sure I finish a chance.”"

The miss could prove costly for Canada, since the game ended 0-0. If Canada won the match it would have been in good shape to advance to the tournament knockout rounds.
