Cam Newton Has The Second-Highest Selling Jersey In The NFL

Cam Newton is heading into his first Super Bowl this week, remains the favorite to win the NFL’s MVP award and now boasts the second-highest selling jersey of the year.

According to the NFL’s Communications department, Tom Brady had the league’s top selling jersey from April 1, 2015 through January 30, 2016. Newton was second, Odell Beckham, Jr., Rob Gronkowski and Peyton Manning rounded out the top five.

Despite all the discussion about Newton being “controversial” or unpopular, that clearly hasn’t shown up where it matters. Clearly the 26-year-old has become wildly popular. People watch Newton’s games and they buy his jersey, all the rest is just talk.
