Brian Hoyer has been named starting QB of the Cleveland Browns, the team just announced this morning. Their 1st round draft pick, Johnny Manziel, will start the season as a backup.

This was a smart decision by head coach Mike Pettine – really, the only decision. Manziel will probably win the starting job after Hoyer and the Browns struggle in the first three games. Neither QB has been particularly impressive through two preseason games.
