Blake Bortles was less than stellar in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 20-9 season-opening loss to the Carolina Panthers. The second-year quarterback completed 22 of his 40 passes for 183 yards. His touchdown pass was offset by two interceptions, including one that went for a pick-six. One could understand if Jaguars fans, who have dealt with more than their fair share of losing, wanted to offer up some suggestions for the offense.

Bortles, though, doesn’t have any time for such free advice from the peanut gallery.

“It’s like kindergarteners saying something to college kids,” he said of fans questioning the team’s play-calling.

Pretty, pretty good burn. Such a comment likely won’t gain him any brownie points with the locals.  It will, however, crush the dreams of all the kindergarteners out there who think they’re so smart.
