New England isn’t known as wine country because it’s full of sour grapes. Just ask the Pittsburgh Steelers. We know they had trouble with their communications, but it also sounds like the Patriots broke one of baseball’s football’s unwritten rules. That’s right, after 7 months of cheating accusations, the Patriots exploited another loophole in the system that the NFL has yet to close. Here’s losing quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, via USA TODAY:

"“I thought that there was a rule against that,” Roethlisberger told reporters. “Maybe there’s not. Maybe it’s just an unwritten rule. … We saw it on film, that the Patriots do that. They shift and slide and do stuff on the goal line, knowing that it’s an itchy trigger finger-type down there.”"

The play in question came early in the 4th quarter with the Steelers down 17. After the false start, the Steelers ended up settling for a field goal. Steelers guard Ramon Foster said the Steelers had seen the movement on tape and everyone should listen closely to this next part before you verbally attack your nearest Patriots fan:

"Foster said the Patriots aren’t the only team he’s seen do it. His only question was whether the three players or so who shifted stayed out of the neutral zone."

You know what? I’m just going to forget that last part. Damn dirty Cheatriots.
