Beau Hossler's Mom, Amy Balsz, Was Popular at the US Open
Hossler came back down to earth and finished +9 in a tie for 29th place – two strokes behind Tiger. Webb Simpson won the tournament and he got paid. Because of his amateur status, Hossler missed out on around $50,000 in prize money. If only he had been allowed to earn that money. It would certainly lessen the blow that from now on, whenever he Googles his name, he’s going to read stuff about how “hot Beau Hossler’s mom Amy Balsz” is. Poor kid. The Internet is your new high school and we are all your classmates.
Now, do we need to amend the term WAG to include mothers? MAWAG? WAGAM? And what about fathers? It’s 2012, we can speak openly about this. Perhaps we should just make it an all inclusive AFAR (Athlete’s Friends, Acquaintances & Relatives). Plus, if you drag out the “ar,” then you sound like a pirate. I don’t think anyone is going to complain about that. Not even “Beau Hossler’s hot mom, Amy Balsz.”
