Brandon Marshall is one of the top 15 receivers in the NFL, but he’s also a vocal, disruptive player in the locker room, and at the age of 31, he’s gonna get paid $7.5 million next year. Getting rid of him would free up money to help bolster a beleaguered defense. So the Bears are exploring a trade, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Marshall’s talent is undeniable. But he’s got a few things working against him, and here they are, in no particular order: His attitude, a new coach, a hot-shot young receiver in Marquess Wilson who could play opposite Alshon Jeffery, perhaps the worst defense in the NFL, he’s coming off the worst year since he was a rookie and oh and did I mention he’s mouthy in the media?

Four years in Denver. Wore out his welcome. Traded. Two years in Miami. Same deal. Three years in Chicago … anyone sense a pattern?
