Bayern Munich Trolls Fans With Fake Transfer Signing

Bayern told its fans to visit the club’s Facebook page at 2:00pm CET, to view the club’s “new offensive signing.” (Bayern have been rumored to be in the market for another striker) Thousands of fans visited the Bayern page and “liked” it to view the press conference. The “new FCB star” was the fans themselves, who were invited to try to the club’s new Facebook app.
Fans have left more than 5,000 angry responses on Bayern’s wall. Well, they seem angry. They are in German. The club later released on apology, claiming it “was not our intention to disappoint you.”
To be fair, not all of Bayern’s Facebook stunts have been this malevolent. Here is Susi, the lovely lady named “THE international FCB fan.”
