Baseball Card Collection Worth Millions Discovered in Ohio Attic

Among the gems found in the discovery were cards from a rare series said to have been issued around 1910, known as the E98 Series, which include legends like Ty Cobb, Cy Young and Honus Wagner. But unlike other existing versions of those cards, the ones found by the 51-year-old Kissner are reportedly in pristine condition. Unbelievable.

“Every future (card) find will ultimately be compared to this,” said Joe Orlando, president of Professional Sports Authenticator.

What a coup. There are supposedly up to 700 cards in the collection totaling an estimated worth of roughly $3 million, according to those deeply entrenched in the “baseball card biz.” Of the 16 Cobb cards in the bunch, all were graded a 9 on a scale of 1-to-10, and the Wagner card was a perfect 10.

The windfall will be equally divided among the 20 cousins named in the will. Sound like reasonable, fair people. Good for them.
